Girls on the Run of the Shenandoah Valley (GOTRSV) is inviting the community to celebrate confidence, connection, and movement during a weekend of events, May 15–16.
The events will feature three inspiring guests: Girls on the Run founder Molly Barker, Appalachian Trail record-holder Betty Kellenberger, and Miss Shenandoah Teen Zoey Coleman.
The weekend begins with the organization’s Sneaker Soirée fundraiser on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, followed by a free community Run/Walk/Ruck on Saturday, May 16 hosted in partnership with Shenandoah Valley Runners (SVR).
Both events celebrate the mission of Girls on the Run: to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
“Girls on the Run helps young girls discover their strength, confidence, and voice,” said Annoica Ingram, Executive Director of Girls on the Run of the Shenandoah Valley. “These events bring our community together to celebrate movement, connection, and the belief that every girl deserves the opportunity to realize her limitless potential.”
